I joined the USC faculty in August 2005 after a two-year post-doctoral position at Caltech in the fields of Control and Dynamical Systems and Computing and Mathematical Sciences. I earned my PhD degree  in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, I also earned Masters degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering in 2002 and 1999, respectively. I received my B.E. degree (with distinction) in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1997.

Brendan received a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship in April 2015. This is a highly competitive fellowship, awarded only to select american citizens and nationals to aid them in the pursuit of a doctoral degree in science and technology. Congratulations Brendan!
